How Do I Support a Campaign on BackerKit?

How does my $5 Blind Bag Pin Reservation work?
If you reserved a blind bag pin before campaign launch, then you will receive a blind bag ChasmFriend pin when you back the campaign at any tier. Additional blind bags can be added as $10 add-ons. They will also be available after the campaign on the Dragonsteel store.
What items are campaign exclusive?
Dragonsteel wants to reward fans who help us by joining our crowdfunding efforts. Part of that is making sure that our campaigns offer rewards beyond standard backing. To that end, we are introducing campaign exclusive items and campaign exclusive editions of books.
The following merchandise items included in this campaign are campaign exclusive and will not be made available later:
- The ChasmFriend plushie
- Dog and Dragon plushies
- Hoid’s Flute
- Girl Who Looked Up statuette
Additionally, the guided versions of the picture books and the painted edges on The Fires of December are exclusive to the campaign. These books will be available in other editions after the campaign.
What is Hoid's Worldsinger Symposium?
During the campaign, we will be celebrating with a fan story and fan art competition. We will start with a story prompt, and vote on the best paragraph day by day. As the story progresses, we want to see your fanart of the story we are telling together. At the end of the campaign, we will compile the complete story and a selection of our favorite art pieces and include them in an ebook for backers at all tiers.

I wanted to get the hard copy storybooks but just missed the cutoff. The website looks like there might be 83 pledges per book available; or 773 of the Storyteller tier. Is there a way to still get in on it?

Great question, Robert; digital rewards should come during the initial fulfillment window in Fall 2026. If anything changes, it will be posted in the FAQ page on the BackerKit site.
I saw that the physical rewards would ship in 2027…
I may have missed it, but I can’t see anywhere the date that the ebook will be released.

Will the Fires of Decemember be the same style as the Tress Dragon Steel Hardcover edition?
Would love to have the whole Hoid Travalis trilogy display together.
Do we know if Hoid’s flute is a functional instrument or just for decoration?
Will the fires of december book be the same size, style, etc as the other stand alone books like Tress, Yumi, etc? This cover looks different than originally advertised? I think a lot of us were hoping it was going to continue in the same style as the others?
