Brandon's Favorite Part of Dragonsteel Nexus
The first day of Dragonsteel Nexus concluded with a bang, as Brandon took over the main stage for a speech, announcements, and some juicy reveals about Dragonsteel’s next big plans. Among the most exciting were announcements of Dragonsteel’s upcoming visit to London and their plans to bring the Worldhopper Ball to international audiences.
The Eye of the World Leatherbound
An update for the Eye of the World leatherbound edition came next, and the reveal was met with thunderous applause. Teases like Isaac Stewart's recent appearance on the Weekly Update and the Heron-Mark Blade giveaway have helped build our anticipation. Seeing the book in Brandon’s hands, with a beautiful gilded red leather cover, turned that into pure excitement. Pre-orders for the Wheel of Time’s first Dragonsteel leatherbound edition start on December 19th.
The Next Step: A Mental Health Initiative
Brandon’s outreach efforts continue, with an initiative focused on mental health. The next effort is a coin with the message that "the most important step you can take is the next." Brandon's hope is that these coins, in the pockets of those who may need help in times of crisis, can serve as a line of defense. The coin's QR code also navigates to resources that he hopes will prevent these crises.

Hoid's Storybook Collection and the Fires of December
Brandon continues his pattern, now almost a tradition, of announcing books that fans had no idea were coming. As part of the Hoid’s Storybooks crowdfunding campaign, Brandon is releasing The Fires of December, a standalone Cosmere novel and the next secret project.
Brandon read the first and second chapters of December, and it promises to be a story unlike anything he has told before. "There are more terrible things that have happened to Hoid," Brandon said as he introduced the book.
Hoid's Storybooks will also include four picture books, (some) taken from the tales that Hoid himself has shared across his time in the Cosmere. These include Wandersail, The Dog and the Dragon, The Girl Who Looked Up, and The Chasmfriends Get A Pet. Art by Steve Argyle, Anna Earley, Justin and Alexis Hernandez, Howard Lyon, and Isaac Stewart bring these stories to life in a way befitting of our favorite Lightweaving worldhopper.
