Domestic Shipping Policy

Processing and packaging time

All orders are processed within one business week (often sooner) unless we post an alert of delays. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. We are unable to provide promises or guarantees for delivery speeds. All shipping methods that we use are non-guaranteed services and shipping delays due to the carrier are possible on all shipments. In general your shipping options are:

  • FedEx Standard Shipping: This usually takes 3 to 5 business days to arrive via FedEx after your order has been processed.
  • FedEx Expedited Shipping: This usually takes 2 or 3 days to arrive via FedEx after your order has been processed.
  • Postal Standard Shipping: This is Media Mail (books only) or First Class shipping via the United States Postal Service. This can take anywhere from 2 to 10 days to arrive after your order has been processed, with higher incidence of delays than any other shipping method.
  • Postal Expedited Shipping: This is Priority Mail shipping via the United States Postal Service. This usually takes 1 to 3 business days to arrive after your order has been processed.

International Shipping Policy

Processing and packaging time

All orders are processed within one business week (often sooner) unless we post an alert of delays. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or holidays.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. These rate cover shipping ONLY, and do not include any customs fees, taxes, brokerage dues, or other charges required by your country or the carrier used. You are responsible for those costs. Please see the below section differences between USPS and FedEx shipping for more information.

We are unable to provide promises or guarantees for delivery speeds. All shipping methods that we use are non-guaranteed services and shipping delays due to the carrier are possible on all shipments. In general your shipping options and speeds are:

  • FedEx Standard Shipping: This is ground-based shipping to Canada or Mexico, and slow air shipment to other countries via FedEx. Shipping speed varies depending on country and location.
  • FedEx Expedited Shipping: This usually takes 1 to 3 business day to arrive via FedEx after your order has been processed for most North American and European countries. Times to other countries may vary.
  • Postal Standard Shipping: This is First Class international shipping to your country via the United States Postal Service, and then turned over to the local postal service for delivery. For limited countries, we do not offer this shipping method.
  • Postal Expedited Shipping: This is Priority Mail shipping to your country via the United States Postal Service, and then turned over to the local postal service for delivery. This usually takes 6 to 10 business days to arrive after your order has been processed. For limited countries, we do not offer this shipping method.

USPS vs FedEx Shipping

Based on what we have observed, here are the pros and cons of the shipping methods we offer:

FedEx international shipping

Pros:
  • This is often our least expensive international shipping method, especially for heavy package ground services to Canada and Mexico
  • Much more reliable and less prone to damage than USPS, especially for shipments to certain countries
  • Often a faster shipping method than USPS
  • By default, customs clearance is faster and easier. You will be billed for customs duties and taxes after delivery rather than before or at time of delivery.
Cons:
  • By default, FedEx shipments carry brokerage fees. This can be a significant (50-60%) amount of your initial purchase cost, in addition to the legally required customs, taxes, and duties.
  • You may not know your final fees and duties you have to pay until up to a month after your package has arrived.

USPS international shipping

Pros:
  • No brokerage fees on top of your customs duties and taxes.
  • You know how much you need to pay in customs duties and taxes before you receive your package.
  • Is often the least expensive option for light weight packages (patches, pins, shirts, etc.)
Cons:
  • Shipments are usually slower, especially for standard speed shipments
  • In our experience, shipments through USPS are more prone to loss and damages in some areas.
  • Clearing customs may take longer, and sometimes require you to travel long distances to pick up a package in person.
  • Not available for some countries with high incidence of package loss and damage.

NOTE: We cannot assist you in working with FedEx to self clear your FedEx packages through customs or avoid brokerage fees. You will need to research the laws, policies, and methods in your area and work directly with FedEx and any other brokerage or self clearing method you find.
